Smokey Green Ribbed Ceramic Table Lamp with White Tapered Cotton Shade & Reactive Glaze Finish – Sculptural Bottle-Shaped Table Light 49x30x30cm

Introduce calm colour, artisanal texture and sculptural elegance to your interiors with this smokey green ribbed ceramic table lamp, finished with a white tapered polycotton shade. Defined by its softly bottle-shaped silhouette, horizontal ribbed detailing and distinctive reactive glaze finish, this decorative ceramic table lamp brings depth, character and refined style to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and stylish bedside settings. Designed to be both functional and decorative, it works beautifully as a subtle statement lamp within layered, design-led interiors.

Expertly crafted from ceramic, the lamp base features a slender, sculptural bottle-shaped form with subtle horizontal ribbing that adds rhythm, tactility and visual interest. The ribbed surface enhances the lamp’s architectural profile while maintaining a balanced, elegant silhouette that feels both contemporary and timeless.

The defining feature of this table lamp is its reactive glaze finish. During the kiln-firing process, mineral-rich glazes react with heat and oxygen, melting and flowing organically across the ceramic surface. This controlled chemical reaction creates natural tonal variation, depth and subtle speckling that cannot be replicated by standard glazing techniques. As a result, each lamp base is completely unique.

The smokey green glaze reveals a beautifully layered blend of muted green, soft grey and darker charcoal flecking. These darker markings are a natural outcome of the reactive glazing process, where mineral deposits pool and intensify during firing. Rather than surface decoration, the colour variation is embedded within the glaze itself, giving the lamp a richly nuanced, hand-finished appearance with lasting durability and visual depth.

Finished in a sophisticated smokey green tone, the base offers a calming, nature-inspired palette that sits comfortably between green and grey. This versatile colouring works effortlessly across contemporary, modern rustic, Japandi, Scandi and relaxed eclectic interiors, pairing beautifully with natural wood, stone finishes, warm neutrals, woven textures and soft metallic accents.

Topped with a self-lined white tapered polycotton (cotton-mix) shade, the lamp delivers softly diffused illumination ideal for ambient, accent and bedside lighting. The tapered shape adds refinement and height to the overall silhouette, while the fabric filters light gently to create a warm, welcoming glow without harsh glare. The crisp white shade provides clean contrast against the reactive glaze base, allowing the ceramic finish to remain the focal point.

A shiny silver lampholder casing introduces a subtle contemporary accent that complements the lamp’s modern profile. The lamp is finished with a black cable, black inline switch and UK 3-pin plug with 3-amp fuse for everyday practicality. A felted base helps protect tabletops, consoles and bedside furniture from marks or scratches.

Measuring H49xW30xD30cm overall and weighing 2kg, this ceramic table lamp has a confident yet elegant presence. The base measures H36xW16xD16cm, while the shade measures H19xW30xD30cm, creating well-balanced proportions suited to bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelving.

The lamp requires 1 × 10–12W LED E27/ES GLS bulb (not included) and is not dimmable. With Class II double-insulated construction and an IP20 rating, it is designed for safe indoor use in dry interior spaces. Partial assembly is required.

Please note: due to the nature of reactive glazing, each lamp will vary slightly in colour tone, speckling and glaze movement. This natural variation is intentional and forms part of the handcrafted character of the design.
